Midnight on a mountain pass Under cover of a darkened glass A single candle burning in my hand I know how the journey ends But I can’t see what’s around these bends Still you say follow me So I’m gonna put one foot in front of the other I’m gonna walk by faith and not by sight Light to my path, lamp to my feet Your word is enough for me Even when I can’t shake these shadows It’s enough for me Lamp to my feet, light to my path What more could I even ask for? You don’t have to prove your love Your word is enough A centurion said to me “I am a man of authority When I throw my voice, it won’t return to me empty” With a word you calm the oceans Set planets in their heavenly motions When you say it shall be That’s enough for me Watchmen long for the light of dawn While the wicked stumble in blindness Fools may ask for a lightning flash Yet your glory is veiled as a kindness Light to my path, lamp to my feet Your word is enough for me Even when I can’t shake these shadows You shine your fine provision on me Lamp to my feet, light to my path What more could I even ask for? You don’t have to prove your love (The Word made flesh) You’ve already proved your love (Measured out in death) You don’t have to prove your love Your word is enough

Rich man reading from a holy book Got a puzzled look He says, “I don’t understand” A stranger stands in the dusty road “Can we share the load?” He says, “let me lend a hand” An invitation to be baptized and believe Next thing you know, he’s down on his knees He says: What are we waiting for? What’s it gonna be? There’s nothing but this water between my Savior and me Never mind my pride It’s time to lay aside my dignity and dive in We’re right beside the shore So what are we waiting for? Poor man fishing in a little boat Trying to keep afloat He hasn’t caught a thing A stranger’s voice is crying out And there’s something about it A familiar ring “Cast your nets out on the other side” The floodgates open, the Father’s hands provide The recognition of his blessed risen Lord Next thing you know - man overboard He says: What are we waiting for? What’s it gonna be? There’s nothing but this water between my Savior and me Never mind my pride It’s time to lay aside my dignity and dive in Striving for the shore So what are we waiting for? When all that entangles would strangle me I look to the truth that can set me free I’m breaking my ties; I’m fixing my eyes Old man lies in a great big bed He’s got a heavy head It’s getting hard to breathe The weary pilgrim has one river left to ford His eyes are shining but he can’t see me anymore He says: What are we waiting for? What’s it gonna be? There’s nothing but this water between my Savior and me Never mind my pride It’s time to lay aside my dignity and dive in To find the farthest shore So what are we waiting for? What’s it gonna be? There’s nothing but this water between my Savior and me Never mind my pride It’s time to lay aside my dignity and dive in Striving for the shore Arriving at the door So what are we waiting for?

Who am I that love would take notice of, leave behind ninety-nine to find one? Who am I that you take affection to, save a slave in the place of a son? I'm spilling like wine in the hand of a bridegroom Spinning his bride on the dance floor I scribbled some lines of a song for a savior What can I say, I’ve been carried away Matchless grace! What could ever compare? Perfect love drives away all of my fear Priceless peace when my faith brings me sight of your face Oh for a thousand tongues to taste of this matchless grace Who am I that your blood was poured out for, broken wide like a fine jar of fragrance? Who am I that by your compassion my debt was paid for, my shame washed away? I'm grasping at straws for the words to describe you Rasping out praise of your glory I'm digging my claws into truth I can cling to Where would I go? I’ve been caught in the flow of this Matchless grace! What could ever compare? Perfect love drives away all of my fear Priceless peace when my faith brings me sight of your face Oh for a thousand tongues to taste of this matchless grace You have the words of life Where would I run to? Why would I want to? The shimmer of gold, the sparkle of diamond Set where no one can break in and steal The circle and stone on the hand of a maiden Are still not as beautiful as the promise they seal Matchless grace! What could ever compare? Perfect love drives away all of my fear Priceless peace when my faith brings me sight of your face Oh for a thousand tongues to taste of this matchless grace

Round World 04:35
It's in the circles 'round a wizard's eye Chasing dots of light around the sky It’s in the writings of a brilliant man Plain to see, a strain to understand You’re the kind of God who would come up with a round world Nothing’s quite what it seems Worms are given wings; you raise your praise from broken things It’s a strange precious metal, the stuff of your dreams It’s in the wisdom of a talking beast It’s in the witness of a silent priest It’s in the churches ‘round a confounded globe The more you snuff it out the more it glows You’re the kind of God who would come up with a round world Nothing’s quite what it seems Worms are given wings; you raise your praise from broken things It’s a strange precious metal, the stuff of your dreams Men of honor slipping in the back The fastest runner gasping on the track We’re not the kind of world that would come up with this God We’d take a million days, but all the king’s horses and all his men would get him wrong again It’s in the madness of a wizard’s quest To chase a dot of light from east to west It’s in the writhing of an innocent man Stretched from pole to pole by the holes in his hands Men of honor slipping in the back The fastest runner gasping on the track I’m caught up in this world, but when I come against this God I break a million ways It takes all the king’s horses and one king’s son to set me right again You’re the kind of God who would come up with a round world

I woke at the first light like it was the first light of my life I had the worst night, might have been the worst night of my life Turned and tossed on a sea of silence Licking up the salt of my own tears I was lost in my own defiance ‘til I washed up here Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy But I keep spilling that cup Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy And you keep filling it up Call it a fist fight: she let fly 'cause I let slip And now I can't kiss right - I've got this crack across my lips The trouble starts with the crack between them That's where the words escape my mouth I try to stop if I don't mean them, but it still goes south Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy But I keep spilling that cup Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy And you keep filling it up I walked a dry and weary land (Among the thorns, between the thieves) I struck a stone and washed my hands (A woman mourns, a body bleeds) I'm the first to quench my thirst But I'm the last to raise my glass to you (Why have you forsaken me?) Father, forgive me Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy But I keep spilling that cup Oh, I'm thirsty for mercy And you keep filling it up

Who do I see a-coming this way, isn’t he son of Mary and J.? (She’s his mother, God is his father) Who’s that hanging out with the poor, filling them till they hunger no more? (Name is Jesus, came to redeem us) Who’s that in the temple I hear, telling good news to everyone near? (Call him teacher, more than a preacher) Singing listen all ye children, Man of Galilee is coming Giving glory to the Father, hallelujah to the Son Better listen now ye children, Man of Galilee be coming back again Who’s that talking down by the well, telling that truth that nobody tells? (He’s a healer, secret revealer) How does he know the people by name, laugh with the dumb and walk with the lame? (Gonna save you, says he forgave you) How did he learn to heal with his hands, walk on the sea and fish on the land? (Come and see him, maybe you’ll meet him) Singing listen all ye children, Man of Galilee is coming Giving glory to the Father, hallelujah to the Son Better listen now ye children, Man of Galilee be coming back again What’s that sound of wailing I hear, why are there people hiding in fear? (Mary’s crying, Jesus is dying) Why do they want to kill a good man, wouldn’t he come on down if he can? (No one made him, he knowingly gave in) Shouldn’t that stone be guarding that cave, why did they steal him out of his grave? (Ask the gardener, he may look familiar) When the Son of Man is lifted up he will draw all nations Raise your trembling hand, trade your bitter cup for a cup of salvation When the Son of Man is lifted up he will draw all nations So lift him high; lift the name of Jesus high Who’s that stranger waking my soul, cutting me through and making me whole? (He is risen, King of the living) Who’s that breaking in through my door, telling me not to doubt anymore? (Son of glory, Lord of the story) Seeing him tear the veil of my gloom, why does he need to leave us so soon? (Not an ending, see him ascending) Singing listen all ye children, Man of Galilee is coming Giving glory to the Father, hallelujah to the Son Better listen now ye children, Man of Galilee be coming back again

I’ve got two cents on the railroad track I’ve got a suitcase on the luggage rack I’ve got angels chasing at my heels and Atlas on my back I’ve got a pair of 2’s and a blind man’s bluff Not sure how to use this stuff Well I would move the world if I could get a grip But my knees give in and my fingers slip And I can’t help thinking I’m ill-equipped for that task Well I’ve got two feet and I’ve got two hands I'm just looking for a place to stand The teacher he’s a friend of mine He had the whole world on a fishing line He said “give me a lever long enough and a level place to do my stuff, and I'll blow your mind” Well I’ve got two feet and I’ve got two hands I'm just looking for a place to stand Say to this mountain “fall into the sea” Not sure I moved mountains, or if the mountains moved me But I’m gonna rest my head under the mustard tree Lord, lay me down I’ve got a postcard of the holy land I’ve got a birthmark and a wedding band I’ve got doubts and I’ve got debts But I'm not about to give up yet Until my dinner date with a two-thousand-year-old man Well I’ve got two feet and I’ve got two hands I'm just looking for a place to stand

Psalm 115 04:50
Not unto us, O Lord our God Not unto us be glory raised Not unto us, O Lord our God Not unto us be praise But to thy name, O Lord, be the glory Because of your love and faithfulness Praise to the Lord our God Why do the nations say, “where is their God?” “Where is their God”, they clamor in pride Why do the nations say, “where is their God?” “Where is their God”, they cry Our God is in heaven He does whatever pleases him Let all who fear him trust in the Lord Trust in the Lord our God Let all Israel say “trust in the Lord” The house of Aaron say “trust in the Lord” Let all who fear him say “trust in the Lord”

The Valley 03:57
I don't want another flood But I don't blame you for the first To drown the noise of Abel's blood And quench at last a holy thirst But when you turn the other cheek A lesser god would call it weak You dig your nails in barren land And make me out of dust again Can a dead man live; gather flesh around these bones of his? Can a dead man rise; carry fire inside his sunken eyes? I don't want another flood No rivers of divine regret But could I have a little mud? A little spit to get it wet? Draw my picture in the dirt Let me point to where it hurts Take me in your weathered hands And make me out of dust again Can a dead man live; gather flesh around these bones of his? Can a dead man rise; carry fire inside his sunken eyes? Draw my picture in the dirt Let me point to where it hurts Take me in your weathered hands And make me out of dust again
